College students make changes for all sorts of reasons. In fact, changing is part of college life. You might change majors (once or twice!), you’ll meet new people and make new friends, and you’ll discover who you are as you continue in your journey.

We offer an array of programs, scholarship opportunities and services designed just for transferring students. And 99% of students who transfer to 资本 receive some form of financial aid.

Bring your college credits and life experience with you.

As 转学生, you bring knowledge gained from previous college experience. That time in school and the courses you completed (and paid for) may translate into credit you can apply toward your degree at 资本. 作为未来的学生, you’ll be assigned a transfer admission counselor to help you determine how much credit you have and where it will be applied. Here’s what we look for from transfer students:

General transfer student requirements

• 你需要一个2.5 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for all previous college work.
• If you have fewer than 30 semester college credit hours, we’ll also use your high school information in making admission decisions.
• You must also be in good academic and social standing at the last institution you attended.

Special requirements for transfer students in music or nursing

• 音乐 — in most cases, music students must also complete an audition
• 护理 — nursing students are considered on a space-available basis but must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average and a 2.75 cumulative science grade point average.

We also offer ways for you to earn college credit for knowledge gained outside traditional college education settings. Your life experience and any non-collegiate coursework you have taken in your career may translate it into credit toward graduation. Your counselor can answer questions about transferring credit, 提供专业的, 申请程序及 any financial aid you qualify for.

What's the application process?

3. If you have fewer than 30 hours earned at college, your official high school transcript is required for the review and submitted (as indicated in Step 2 above).
